Hi All,
Over the last few months I’ve been putting in $50 dollars of petrol whenever I needed it (typically weekly), rather than filling up.. so this week I decided to get as close to empty as possible and then fill up the car… When I first started filling up the Commodore, it was around $75… now its _slightly_ more..
We all have choices as to the types of cars we own and drive, I enjoy my car, and I’m not quite ready to down size :-)
So let's compare the $2.185 per litre for 91 Octane to some other items for 60 litres.. (I grabbed theses from the Woolworths website..)
Home brand milk – blue top & trim – $1.84/litre = $110.40
Meadow fresh milk – blue top & trim – $2.24/litre = $134.40
Meadow fresh milk – calcium added - $2.38/litre = $142.80
Canterbury Draught (330ml bottles * 12) – $21.14/~4 litre = $315.00
Speights (330ml bottles * 12) - $18.99/~4 litre = $284.85
This is interesting and scarey – Oil companies aren’t the only ones profiteering :-)
Nick.
