Sky TV, today announced it was spending $22 million over two years on high definition broadcasts.
It’s aiming to get 80,000 set top boxes installed. The new high definition set top boxes would cost $599 or could be rented for $15 a month.
Given it's high definition, it will be interesting to see if this means SKY will dedicate appropriate bandwidth to it - the reason I say that is if you are watching a great game of rugby for example on a nice big plasma, often the quality of the picture can be reduced due to supply and demand of the signal (bandwidth)... Time will tell..
NIck.
