New Zealand IT Pros can influence the big guys...

Hi All,

I thought I'd share a great story on how a passionate guy helped us out with NZ Daylight Savings.

Bradley Borrows and I were the project leads for the Microsoft daylight savings campaign here in New Zealand, we worked along side the product teams to ensure the appropriate patches were created/tested as well as some other key individuals. We had the pleasure of coming across an enthusiastic technologist who provided us with a heap of feedback by the name of Graham Codd.

Graham provided assistance with Vista and Dynamic Timezones as well as other issues with API’s and the .NET framework. Graham burnt the midnight oil to provide help to us and our customers, which was very useful in our communications with customers and partners and provided valuable input for the product groups. A nice gift arrived from M3 Sweatt (He’s responsible for Daylight Savings Worldwide) to thank Graham Codd for all his efforts in helping us with our successful daylight savings campaign.

I wouldn’t mind these either (Vista Ultimate Commemorative Edition signed by Bill Gates and Office Ultimate signed by Jeff Raikes).

Nick.
